SPX Completes Acquisition Of Hamon CIE Global Dry and NAFTA Wet Cooling Businesses

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—December 19, 2003—SPX Corporation (NYSE:SPW) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of certain assets from Hamon CIE (BRUSSELS:HAMO). On December 4, SPX announced that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire Hamon’s Global Dry Cooling and NAFTA Wet Cooling business. These operations will become part of SPX’s Cooling Technologies and Services global platform.
