Double Reduction Geareducer®
Marley industrial Geareducers are manufactured and designed specifically for cooling towers in large industrial and power plant applications. In shape and function, their design goes beyond normal AGMA requirements—both to maximize air movement through the tower, and to minimize the impact of maintenance.
Driveshafts - Flex Bushing
Marley’s standard driveshafts are full-floating assemblies with non-lubricated flexible couplings on each end. Their tolerance to misalignment and torsional shock is unequalled in nonspecialized units. All Marley driveshafts are dynamically balanced at the factory to minimize operating vibrations.

Marley C Fan
All Marley NC Class cooling towers are designed for low sound levels using high blade-count, wide-chord C fans for maximum efficiency at low tip speeds. All C fan assemblies incorporate machined aluminum hubs with stainless steel hardware.
Marley H3 Fan
Marley H3 cast aluminum alloy fans are standard equipment on various Marley product lines. All H3 fan assemblies incorporate machined aluminum hubs with stainless steel hardware. All H3 fans blades are adjustable in pitch, to take full advantage of rated horsepower or to compensate for unusual job site restrictions.

Single Reduction Geareducer®
The reliability of the Geareducer comes from more than 100,000 units of experience, and from Marley’s attention to exacting quality standards of design and manufacturing. Today, every Marley Geareducer is tested under load at our factory. Then, it’s inspected and adjusted before shipment.
Sprag Clutch Backstop
The Marley® integral Sprag Clutch Backstop is custom designed and configured specifically for a Marley Geareducer®. Also referred to as a sprag clutch anti-rotation device, these units are designed to prevent reverse rotation of the fan, Geareducer and motor.
Ultra Quiet Fan
The Ultra Quiet fan, offered by SPX Cooling Technologies, Inc., is designed for HVAC cooling tower applications where very low sound is a necessity. The wide chord blade design is well suited for low sound operation, delivering superior air flow and pressure capability at reduced speed.
