The MCW Cooling Tower
Allen & Overy required quiet facilities for the Bishops Square London development, so they installed SPX Cooling Technologies' MCW Cooling Tower — designed for the urban environment.
The Marley MCW forceddraft counterflow cooling tower is optimized for the low noise, low profile requirements of urban residential and commercial installations, reducing noise and increasing energy efficiency and performance.
With its fine balance of low noise, small footprint and low profile, the global MCW cooling tower is well suited for light industrial, residential and commercial cooling requirements with stringent space and noise constraints.
The increasing urban renewal trend in large downtown areas has caused a proliferation of extensive building upgrades. The resulting expansion of building cooling systems often results in significant costs and disruption in the form of large crane or helicopter lifts onto building rooftops.
The MCW cooling tower is specifically engineered for site delivery via a service or freight elevator. Available in either stainless or galvanized steel, the MCW offers significant installation and logistics costs savings compared to traditional cooling tower designs.
Addressing customer requirements from around the world, the MCW has been developed to accommodate both designers and contractors by meeting the “reduced footprint requirements”, giving more flexibility to project development. When siting concerns and noise pollution issues demand more out of a cooling tower, the Marley MCW from SPX Cooling Technologies sets the benchmark for thermal performance and delivers low maintenance, versatile options and outstanding value.

Marley MCW Steel Towers use heavy-mill galvanized steel or stainless steel (grade 304 or 316) for high-performance under any operating conditions.
