Overland Park, KS – SPX Cooling Technologies, Inc., a full-line, full-service industry leader in the design and manufacture of evaporative and air-cooled heat exchangers, will feature new and innovative Marley cooling towers at POWER-GEN International, Dec. 5-7, 2017, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Featured in booth #8607 will be the Marley NC Everest™ crossflow cooling tower and the Marley MD Everest™ counterflow cooling tower, pre-assembled modular products engineered for power and process cooling applications.
An 18-foot mobile trailer will provide hands-on displays of Marley cooling tower components, including the new M Series Geareducer® gear drive, a drop-in replacement for other brands’ towers. Also featured will be the Ecolaire® ADCC™ Advanced Direct Contact Condenser from SPX Heat Transfer LLC and Waukesha® Power Transformers from SPX Transformer Solutions, Inc.
The new Marley modular cooling towers can take cooling to a higher level, with 50 percent greater cooling capacity compared with other pre-assembled cooling towers available in the market. The modular towers typically deliver 80 percent faster than site-constructed towers and install in about 20 percent of the time. They are specifically engineered and constructed to withstand the rigors of power and industrial process applications.
The mobile trailer features several Marley innovations, including the new M Series Geareducer® gear drive, Comp-DS™ Driveshaft, HP7000 Fan, and a range of heat transfer fill types. The new M Series Geareducer gear drive features gears of high-strength, case-hardened alloy steel machined to AGMA Quality Class 9 and above. Designed to fit into non-Marley cooling towers for easy replacement, the M Series has heavy-duty double row bearings for 100,000 hours of life or more.
